Prologue...
Even though the blog is new, writing about wine is not. As it turns out this blog is merely an extension of a log that my friend John and I have been diligently working on most Friday nights for that few years. You see, we're both enophiles and on more than one occasion we would be talking about a wine trying to remember if we ever had it before, or more importantly, if we did whether we liked it or not.
Over the years we've been documenting all of our tastings in the 'red book' - a dou-tang folder with notes, ratings and scores. As great as it is to have a reference it's pretty limited so it seems like a good time to move to a venue that can be accessed anywhere and share it with anyone who wants to check it out.
I will always try to post photos of both labels on the bottle when I can. If there is a bar code, I'll photograph that so if you have a barcode reader on your phone, you should be able to scan the image and get some info. Check beach here periodically as I'll be posting more information on this page as I can update it. Soon I hope to have an explanation of the rating scale. Stay tuned.
